Hi, Does any body know if we need an original approval notice (H1B) or copy of approval notice will do good for driving license renewal? I have a scanned copy. I am working on a small company with no HR and my boss is on vacation before I could ask an original copy. My license is expiring on end of this december. I have to either try with scanned copy of h1b or wait until second week of Jan.

IF you go to MVA in Germantown,MD, there are plenty of Indians working and they know this shit, and copy will do, but they are instructed to get a 'hard copy".
IN Maryland they send you a notice of renewal three months ahead, BUT why were you waiting till your boss gone for the vacation.

Thank you. I am in sparks area. I was thinking of getting my license after i got a new lease at new place, and didnt care about approval notice. Jaba raati taba budhi taati :)

I lived in Baltimore for few years. MVA at Reisterstown Rd askes for original H1b approval when i went there to renew my driving licence.
