I am a student and I am joining University of South Alabama for my graduate in civil engineering. Well I have admitted and now I am in USA. I have to register for the course sooner but I am totally lost in choosing the major for the field. Can anyone please help me with the major I can choose. Well Structure is something I dont want to do. The other options are Environment, Water Resource, Transportation and Geology. Please someone advise me the major which I can choose so that I dont end up thinking I chose the wrong major. Please suggest me which major can land me with a good prospective degree so that I may get a good job in USA. Also please advise me whether GIS is good for USA or not. Please help me because I am totally lost.

Friend Don't be lost! Explore as you can and go ahead whatever u feel good. There are no absolute major that works for all, it depend on what's one's interest. Any major within your field of study work great here. So only thing is what u think, your interest, don't go for a book guidelines. Listen to your heart!!! As an civil engg. I am sure u will do better whatever u choose. Hope this will help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
