You have studied the media of transmission. You are asked to get more deep study in the
Guided media: Twisted pair, Coaxial and Fiber. You need to get more industrial information
about what is AVAIALBEL in the market and up â€toâ€date. You can visit some of the local vendors
or check the web. As an example, if you plan to buy a fiber, you will find three of four kinds of
fiber in the market. How can you differentiate among them to be able to chose what fits your
need? You need to have detailed comparison in terms of: initial cost, maintenance cost, speed,
distance, EMI, delays and suitable applications. Please limit your research to 2 â€3 pages; try to
use tables when possible. Hint 1: the information in the book is very basic and does not get you
to make a correct decision in case you are asked to design the wiring for certain network. This
will give you hands on in what you will be searching for in the next networking design project.
