I want to send 42inch flat screen Sony TV with my parents to Nepal while they are returning back. They are returning back in Qatar Airlines via Doha. They already have four piece of luggages (2 for each). Does anyone know how much extra will it cost for the Shipping and Handling of this extra luggage through this airlines? And how much extra Tax/duty should be paid in Nepal airport? Can anyone give me an idea?

Check with Airlines, they are the one who knows better than we do.

But for sure, Be ready to pay Rs. 600 per inch = Rs 25,500. at  bhansar unless you have special people at bhansar.

I've seen some threads like this in Sajha. It seems luring, but has anyone actually taken one to Nepal? I don't even own a TV now, so I have some childish questions:
i. Do these TVs sold here in US support PAL (in Nepal). If we need additional converter how much does it cost?
ii. Is 220V in Nepal fine for these TVs? A reliable voltage converter seems to cost some $30+
iii. Do people pay so much of Bhansar? Or any bhansar at all if you have someone there at the airport?
